Pakuratahi River Walk - Kaitoke Regional Park

Updated: Mar 6, 2022

‎Saturday, ‎24 ‎February ‎2018

Location: Kaitoke Regional Park, Upper Hutt

This is a beautiful (and easy) bushwalk from the campground at Kaitoke Regional Park up to Rivendell. We did this walk during the Just So Festival (hence our two little Kakapo's in the photos), it was run as a guided walk lead by a DOC (Department of Conservation) worker. He did an amazing job, sharing stories of their conservation efforts, demonstrating how rat traps work and pointing out interesting facts about the native plants we passed.

It's a lovely easy walk for all age groups.
